Is FAGE Halal?
FAGE is a Greek dairy company best known for FAGE Total, a range of strained Greek yogurts available in full-fat (5%), 2%, and 0% fat varieties. The UK product range is remarkably simple in its formulation.
FAGE Total plain yogurt contains two ingredients: whole milk and live yogurt cultures. There are no thickeners, no gelatine, no emulsifiers, and no additives of any kind. This makes it one of the cleanest yogurt products available and leaves no halal concern in the plain varieties.
FAGE also produces a TwoGood range (fruit-on-the-side yogurts) and flavoured Greek yogurt products. These add fruit, sugar, and sometimes pectin (a plant-derived gelling agent). None of these additives raise halal concerns. There is no gelatine in FAGE’s UK product range.
FAGE does not hold a UK halal certificate, but for a product consisting of milk and live cultures, certification is not necessary to establish permissibility. The product is free from all animal fat, pork derivatives, and doubtful additives.

Danio (Danone)
⚠ MushboohDanio (by Danone) is Mushbooh in the UK. The good news: UK Danio yogurts do not contain E120 (carmine/cochineal) — the strawberry flavour uses black carrot concentrate as its red colourant. There is no gelatin in any UK Danio variant; stabilisers are pectin, guar gum, and carrageenan (all plant-derived). The concerns are natural flavouring with an undisclosed source and the complete absence of halal certification from Danone UK.

Müller
⚠ MushboohMüller (Müller UK & Ireland) products vary in halal status. Some Müller Corner and Müller Rice variants contain gelatine from undisclosed sources. No halal certification is held. Plain Müller yogurts without gelatine are cleaner, but the presence of gelatine in popular product lines makes the brand Mushbooh overall.
